Coal, from Greyhounds As Companions, on his new Kuranda dog bed donated by D.I.N.E. He sure looks comfy, especially with all those added blankets! Coal has been adopted but there are three Greyhound rescues in the capital district where there are many of these deserving dogs waiting for forever homes.

From Melissa at Animal Protective Foundation: "Hunter was at the shelter nearly 2 months, which in homeless doggie terms is a lifetime! When he wasn't out for a walk with the staff and volunteers, he loved to occupy his time in his kennel by gnawing on a Galileo bone. For a special treat, he would even get a smear of peanut butter on it! Thanks to D.I.N.E., dogs like Hunter won't have to be bored and frustrated in their kennels."
